About Me

Hi! My name is Aquila and I am the owner and mastermind behind Renee's Résumés.

 

To start, I’ll address the elephant in the room…who’s Renee?

Renee is my middle name. Growing up, for some weird reason I was not the biggest fan of my middle name, like, at all. But as I’ve gotten older, I have grown to absolutely LOVE it and I have embraced the name as a part of my identity and as a part of who I am.

I am also someone who loves helping people achieve their career aspirations, no matter what those aspirations may be or look like. What better way to do that than to let me create your first impression with the all-important résumé…Renee’s Résumés to be exact. Catchy right?

I pride myself on delivering high-quality résumé writing services that highlight your skills and accomplishments in the best possible way. When it comes to writing, I am a very creative person so creating a résumé tailor-made to YOU is right up my alley. There are plenty of generic résumé templates online that are available to use, but everyone else is also using those templates. Don't you want to be different? Your résumé is your first impression and as we all know, you don't get another. You can have all of the experience in the world, but without a résumé that “meets certain requirements,” you might get looked over for the opportunity. That is because, nowadays, companies use what is called ATS (Applicant Tracking System). Simply put, this system looks for certain words in an applicant’s résumé that match the position’s requirements. If these certain words aren’t scanned by the ATS system, the applicant’s résumé is marked as "unqualified," even if the applicant is actually, in fact, well qualified.

That’s where I come in! I will work to make sure your résumé meets ATS requirements while being artistically, aesthetically, and professionally pleasing to the eye, getting you one step closer to obtaining that all-important interview.

1. (Tabula) Rasa Résumé - Brand New Résumé - $160

Don't have a résumé already? No problem! Let me create a résumé for you, from scratch.

2. Résumé Restoration - Existing Résumé - $130

Do you have a résumé already? Perfect! I can use your current résumé as a foundation and tweak and revamp it to meet your needs. Résumés over 10 years need to be replaced with a new one.

3. wRite for the Job! - Cover Letter - $100

Need a cover letter? I got you (cover)ed...Pun intended. A cover letter helps your chances of scoring a job interview. A résumé is a summary of your skills, accomplishments, and strengths as a potential candidate, whereas a cover letter serves as a more formal introduction to what you have to offer.

5. The PuRsuit - Follow-up email - $60

Have you gone through the interview process and haven’t heard back from the employer yet? Let me formulate a follow up email in an effort to get some more information for you.

Once you have completed the interview process, let me know and I will have a follow-up email available for you one week post-interview (which is the standard time frame to follow up with an organization/company).

6. I AppReciate You - Thank you email - $50

If once you complete the interview process and you are still happy with the job prospect, it is always important to send a thank you email 24 hours post-interview. Let me write one for you!

7. My DepaRture - Resignation Letter - $45

This bundle includes new and old résumés with a tailored cover letter to accompany it.

Why is a resignation letter important? Because even though you might despise your current job, you never want to burn bridges, even if you are trying to change fields altogether. As cliché as it sounds, it is a small world out there (I know from experience). 

8. PRinting SeRvices

Landing the interview is a big step, but making an impression DURING the interview is an even bigger step. What better way to do that than to show up to your interview with your résumé on high quality paper that makes you stand out from the crowd even more.

⁃ Printing services includes: two (2) copies of your résumé on your choice of one of two high quality papers + FedEx Express 2-Day shipping - $75 (each additional printed copy of your résumé will be $15).

My process is pretty simple and straightforward:

 

1. Reach out to me via text or email.

2. We will discuss what it is that you are looking for and trying to accomplish.

3. I'll ask you some questions about your career goals, work experience, and accomplishments.

4. Based on this information, I will create a customized document that highlights your strengths and achievements. I will work with you until you are completely satisfied with the final product.

 

Give me 3-5 business days and I will have whatever service(s) you choose tailor made specifically to YOU!

What is your turnaround time?
3-5 business days. There is a fee of $150 for expedited services (1-2 days)

What are the hours of operation?
There are no set hours of operation. You can reach out to me any day/any time and I will respond as soon as I can (which is usually pretty quick because I am always on my phone). 

What information is needed from me?


Ultimately, it will depend on what service(s) you need. For the most part, I will need your current résumé draft (if you have one). If you don’t have one already, I will need:

1. Personal information (your first and last name, address [city and state], email address, and phone number)
2. Your work history (employer, years worked, job title, location)
3. What job you are interested in applying for (you can send me the name of the company and the position title you’re interested in. If you have the link to the job description, send that to me as well.).
4. Your education history (school(s), year you graduated, field of study, and the degree you obtained).
5. Any special skills or certifications you have that you think are relevant to the position that I should know about
